Moving

No we are not moving again, just furniture. Our new couches and tables come tomorrow and today I wanted to moved the couch that is currently in our living room upstairs to the den, and then move the couch from the den, down to the basement. Well, we thought we'd first start with moving the couch from the den, down to the basement. After messing with it for about 20 minutes, we decided that it's going to have to stay up there. I have NO idea how the movers got it in there, but there is no way we think we can get it out. We did manage to leave a nasty scratch in the floor which I'm less than pleased with, but hey, not my fault the landlord put in floors that can be easily damaged. Especially when he rents out this house. DUMB! It's easier to have carpets cleaned than replace wooden floors. We do our best to make sure things don't touch the floors or get drug across them, not everyone will be this careful. So I'm over it.

So now, the couch that is currently in my living room has to go in the basement which I wanted to avoid at all costs. It will have to be covered so it doesn't get full of dust and bugs. The other couch is a platicky leather and the one we've have the longest and the one we care least about, so that is why I wanted it in the basement. But that's not going to happen so I'll just have to do the best job possible in covering the one going down there.



We went out to dinner tonight for Mexican food and neither of us were overly excited about our dinner. Mexican food is best made by Mexicans, served by Mexicans and chips and salsa are the first thing that should be given to you when you sit down. None of these things happened or were present at the Mexican Connection. They did give us chips and salsa, after about 5-10 minutes. I was thinking, "Seriously?" When you are blessed with being able to eat at El Mariachi in Harrison or Hamilton, or at a various amount of places in Vegas, you tend to really know your Mexican food. The chicken in my tacos and in John's chimichanga was super dry and tasteless. There was cheddar cheese on my tacos which in real mexican food is a no no. Don't get me wrong, it tasted ok, but it was in no way shape or food what we were hoping for. The only bonus, they have easily over 100 types of tequila! I am no tequila fan by any means, but their tequila menu was overly impressive. Now the endeavor continues. There is supposedly a place called Pancho's where everyone is Mexican, but John doesn't know where it is. He said all the guys at work say that's the place you go for the best Mexican food. We'll be sure to track it down in the near future.
