Date Night

Tonight John and I went out for date night. We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory which is always delicious. I had Renee's Special which is a little side salad, half of a turkey sandwich and a bowl of soup, while John had the chicken stuffed tacos. Mine was the perfect amount of food for me (not the gigantic portions that they are known for) which also left me enough room to have some cheesecake that John helped me conquer.

After dinner, we strolled through Barne's & Noble to kill some time and then headed down to the Times Union Center for Cirque Du Soleil's Alegria. It was one of the better "road" shows for Cirque. Much better than the one we saw in Connecticut a few years back.

The only downfall of the show was when 2 different idiotic people decided to take their cameras out and try and snap a picture when people were doing some very intense things. One of these lovelies was 2 rows in front of us and during intermission it took just about everything I had to not tap this 20 year old on her shoulder (who was with her parents mind you) and say, "Are you deaf? Or is English not your first language?" Mean, probably. But deciding to take a flash picture AFTER they tell you NOT to because it's distracting to the artist, seriously? After all, what if that artist would have fallen due to that person taking a picture? Would it have been worth it to them? Probably not.

Anyways, despite that, the night was great. Date night doesn't come often for us, so when it does, we try and do it right!
